Deep-Fried Chicken Wings

Crispy, golden-brown deep-fried chicken wings are a classic favorite, perfect for any occasion. These wings are seasoned, coated, and fried to perfection, delivering a crunchy exterior and juicy, flavorful meat inside.
Ingredients:
- 500g chicken wings
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
- 1 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
- Oil for frying
Cooking Steps:
- Prepare the Wings – Pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels.
- Marinate – Mix buttermilk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Soak the wings for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for more flavor).
- Coat the Wings – In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Dredge the wings in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- Heat the Oil – Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 175°C (350°F).
- Fry in Batches – Fry the wings in small batches for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain & Serve – Remove the wings, drain on paper towels, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
