Deep-Fried Chicken Wings

Crispy, golden-brown deep-fried chicken wings are a classic favorite, perfect for any occasion. These wings are seasoned, coated, and fried to perfection, delivering a crunchy exterior and juicy, flavorful meat inside.

Ingredients:

  • 500g chicken wings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
  • Oil for frying

Cooking Steps:

  1. Prepare the Wings – Pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels.
  2. Marinate – Mix buttermilk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Soak the wings for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for more flavor).
  3. Coat the Wings – In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Dredge the wings in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  4. Heat the Oil – Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 175°C (350°F).
  5. Fry in Batches – Fry the wings in small batches for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain & Serve – Remove the wings, drain on paper towels, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
